Benefits of Face-to-Face counselling

 

  • You have a private space to talk;

  • You can attend sessions after work;

  • You do not have to worry about technology;

  • You can see me fully, so there is less chance of misunderstanding;

  • Your therapy space is separate from your personal space.

Things to consider:

  • Are you comfortable meeting in-person during the pandemic?

  • How do you feel about following the hygiene and social distancing measures during the pandemic?

  • How do you feel about commuting after sessions?

​​Benefits of Online and Telephone counselling

  • You can attend therapy from a comfortable and private space in your own home.

  • You can avoid a commute to and from sessions;

  • You can wear comfortable clothes in the privacy of your home;

  • Research shows that online/telephone therapy is as effective as in-person therapy.

Things to consider:

 

  • Would you prefer to see your counsellor in-person?

  • How do you feel about talking about difficult issues in your personal space?

  • What will you do after sessions to self-care?

  • Is there a space where you can talk privately without interruption?

  • Do you have a good enough internet connection/phone reception?

  • Are you comfortable using video-conferencing platforms/your phone?
