FAQs

  • How do I arrange the first session?
You can send me a message via my contact page. Also you can email me at wjcounselling@gmail.com or call me on 07845 653497. I will get back to you as soon as possible. If you call me and I do not answer, please leave a voicemail message.
  • How much does each session cost?
The introductory session costs a reduced price of £30. After that, 50-minute sessions cost £55.
  • How many sessions will I have?
I offer open-ended counselling, so the number of sessions you have will depend on what you want to work through and what you can afford.
  • How long will I have to wait before I can start therapy?
Once you have contacted me, I will let you know when I am available. If we are both free at the same time, we can start straightaway.
  • Will you tell anyone what we have discussed?
What we talk about will remain confidential except in certain circumstances, such as a serious risk of harm to yourself or others. Also, as an ethical practitioner, I discuss my work with clients with my supervisor in a non-identifiable way. My supervisor and I are both members of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and abide by the requirements of confidentiality in the BACP's ethical framework. For further details about confidentiality and data protection please see my privacy policy.
  • Do you provide counselling and psychotherapy for children and teenagers?
I currently only offer therapy for anyone aged 18 or over.
  • Can my partner or children come into my sessions?
These sessions are all about you and it is crucial that you can be open and honest, so only you can sit with me in sessions.
